The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship program has opened again this year, offering up to $60,000 (including an annual travel allowance of $20,000) to international students who want to pursue PhD degrees at Canadian Universities from September 1st, 2023 until the end of May 2024. Each scholarship comes with free tuition, free accommodation, and a free meal plan at the University chosen by the candidate.
It enables Scholars to gain first-hand contact with diverse communities that can enrich their studies through interdisciplinary research and original fieldwork. Scholars receive a substantial yearly allowance for research and travel.
Furthermore, the Trudeau Scholarship recipients will be paired with Trudeau Mentors chosen by the Foundation as some of the best-known Canadians in any sector of public life.
The scholarship will also provide opportunities to interact with excellent scholars in any field in the humanities and social sciences and to participate in the various academic conferences put on by the foundation, through a variety of available resources.
The academic achievement of candidates must meet the highest standards of the most prestigious doctoral scholarship programs in the world.
In the future, researchers will need to be able to debate with other researchers and experts and be open to adding their insight to current debates.
