In order to help college-going families, The Texas Match the Promise Foundation (with an arm called the Texas Tuition Promise Fund) provides them with scholarships and tuition grants.

At eligible Texas public colleges and universities, Promise Fund tuition units represent a fixed amount of resident undergraduate tuition. As part of Match the Promise, approved recipients will receive Promise Fund tuition units, enhancing participant contributions to the fund during the current sales period.

To offer the National College Match scholarship, QuestBridge partners with 40 of the nation’s top colleges and universities. It covers tuition, room and board, travel expenses, books, and supplies, without requiring parents to pay anything or taking out any loans. It is important to note, however, that the scholarship may require students to contribute through work-study or student savings.
