Eligibility Criteria for the University of Calgary Scholarships for International Students

The following requirements are needed to be eligible for the University of Calgary Scholarship

Required Language: English

Eligible Countries: All world countries

For Energizing Canada International Entrance Scholarship:

  The University of Calgary awards the prize yearly to an international student entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program.

  Awarded on a yearly basis and renews provided the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.00 over a minimum of 24.00 units from the previous fall and winter terms.

  Merit in academics

  Financial needy person

  Must be a high school graduate of any officially recognized high school in the People’s Republic of China, including those in Hong Kong and Macau.

  An engineering, commerce, health sciences, or urban studies student is preferred

For the University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship:

  Granted to first-year international undergraduate students entering the upcoming fall term, who have demonstrated English language proficiency and wish to study at an undergraduate level in any field of study.

  You can renew your education at the University of Calgary in your second, third and fourth year with a GPA of 2.60 or more and continue to pay an international tuition fee.

  International students who must pay the differential fee are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

  People who hold Permanent Residence status in Canada.

How to Apply for the University of Calgary Scholarships for International Students?

The following application instructions will guide you through the scholarship application process:

(1) Apply for your undergraduate program at the university:

  To start your application, create a UCalgary eID.

  Help yourself to complete your application by using the application guide.

  Fill out and submit your application, which will cost $145.

  You will be notified in your Calgary Student Center on how and where to submit any required documents based on your application. You can Visit the documents page for more information.

(2) Apply for the Scholarship, Follow the next steps:

  Log in to the Student Center in your myUofC portal.

  To check your financial information in your Student Center, go to the My Financials page.

  Go to the Awards and Scholarships section and click Apply for Undergraduate Awards.

  The page will not display if popups are blocked.

  Your screen will show open applications or the ones that closed on the Application Available and Application Deadline dates.
